LOULE 2023Celebrate the summer carnival in Loulé: 19 to 21 FebruaryFor these three days, you will feel like you are in Rio de Janeiro. The rhythm of samba drumbands echoes through the streets of this beautiful city. Feather-clad ladies dance floats with their agile hips. More than 600 entertainers spread across the city will catch your attention with their skills. The parade takes place between three and half past five.
Mediterranean ‘Festival MED’ Loulé: 29 June to 2 JulyCelebrate Mediterranean culture with 90 hours of music from 66 concerts on 12 stages. Street performers roam the old town providing entertainment. Food trucks line the alleys. Art, crafts, poetry, film, children’s activities, exhibitions and lectures complete this fantastic festival.
The White party / Noite Branca Loulé: 26 AugustThis grand festival is organised once every two years. With the thousands of visitors dressed in white and special white art objects, the city will be even brighter. It will once again be the stage for a long list of performances, live music and exhibitions. Take a seat on one of the white sofas with a white cocktail in your hand and enjoy this wondrous spectacle. The white decorated shops also stay open in the evening and offer special discounts.

FARO 2023International Motorcycling meeting Faro: 20 to 23 JulyThousands of bikers flock to Faro this weekend to celebrate the sense of freedom associated with this two-wheeler. The whole thing will be dressed up with beer, rockbands and street entertainment. Even if you don’t have a bike yourself there is plenty to see and experience. The event takes place near the airport but also in the old town you will be impressed by what Faro’s motorbike club can organise.
Festival F Faro: 7 to 9 AugustThis music festival takes place in the historic core of Faro around an old beer factory overlooking the lagoons of the Rio Formosa. By far the most beautiful festival venue in all of Portugal.
Festival F is a cultural initiative that brings together established and emerging artists for 3 days in the city of Faro. Besides music, there are workshops, exhibitions , stand-up comedians, visual arts and artisans.

PORTIMÃO 2023MotoGP Portimão: 24 to 26 MarchThis spring weekend in March will see a lot of engine noise in the Algarve. Speed demons are heading from all over Europe to the ‘Autodromo’ in Portimão where last year’s F1 races also took place. Be quick as tickets are still available for a limited time.
Festival Afro Nation Portimão: 28 to 30 JuneThis three-day event is considered “the biggest festival of ‘Afrobeats’ in the world”. It takes place on the wide beach of Praia da Rocha. Dance with your feet in the sand to the sounds of 50 Cent, ‘Burna Boy, Booba and many other well-known artists from this year’s line-up.
Secret Project Festival Portimão: 17 to 19 JulyHouse, Techno and Bass music, a line-up of more than 75 DJs and live artists, on three stages. Once again on the beautiful Praia da Rocha beach. Dancing from sunrise to sunset and on to sunrise again. Time stands still for three days here.
